The way things have been going so far this year I'd say significantly higher...and for quite some time to come.

The problem is that Obama put a stop to off shore drilling when BP dumped all that oil in the Gulf and never reinstated it. We have unlimited sources of oil in this country to choose from but we import from the middle east. The people who hate us the most. The oil companies have a monopoly on the entire gas market from drilling to refining to selling, which is supposed to be illegal but no one does anything. The oil companies know the can charge us anything they want because we do not have a choice as to weather or not we buy gas. We have to to earn a living so the poor get poorer. Honestly, I do not see things are going to get better. There is such a great divide between the government and the people. The government have raised there salaries so high they are above it all. They have absolutely no idea what it is like to live from paycheck to paycheck or to do with out food to fill up your car with gas. They all need to be put out on the streets for a week and see how they like it. Our government needs a reality check and some new people who actually give a damn about what happen to the poorest of us when they decide they don't have to do there jobs because they don't like working for a black man. We need 20th century thinkers not archaic mentality if we are going to survive. The time is coming, very soon when the rest of the world will realize that the dollar is worthless. When that day comes, God help us all.

Well, it's up about 75 cents where I live. I think it's safe to say "significantly higher". The answer is not "drill, baby, drill", it' keep what we drill at home where it belongs. Unfortunately, the rectums who control the pricing couldn't care less that they are crippling our economy since they still have their billions to play with.

It will depend on the global economy and how well the Gulf states cooperate. Our 'friends' there need more money to buy off their citizens who want a more representative form of government. Saudi Arabia needs a base price between 80-85USD a barrel to break even. If prices fall to reflect the market, they cut production and/or increase rhetoric so the speculators will bid up the price. A very symbiotic and parasitic relationship...almost incestuous!
To answer I expect them to be about the same over the next 10 months.

Gas prices just went up 9 cents a litre today Feb.21 2013. That is 9 x 4.5 = 40.5 cents a US gallon. Now we are paying 132.9 x 4.5 = 5.98 cents a US gallon.

I think they're only going to be slightly higher. All signs point to lower prices in the near-mid term, but who knows what will happen between now and summer. This run up we're experiencing now seems to have caught the analysts off guard, which is one more reason we shouldn't trust analysts. ;)

Gas prices seem to be controlled by market speculates, weather, as wells as local and international conflicts.

Also the oil companies around here mainly Marathon & BP did away with most of the bulk crude and product storage tank farms in NW Ohio so they can control supply better and screw us at the pump.

As long as prices continue to be jacked up by nervous futures speculators and not by actual supply and demand...we are hostage to bidding wars that make gasoline cost too much.
